PELAGIC BIRD WATCHING
Hout Bay offers an exciting and unique experience for bird enthusiasts. The nutrient-rich waters off the tip of Africa attracts a variety of seabirds including albatrosses, petrels, shearwaters and many more. These birds can be observed up-close, as they soar above the waves, providing a captivating display of avian beauty and grace. To reach these birding grounds, we will travel approximately 50km offshore. Our local fishing fleets also add to the attraction, creating a feeding hot spot for a wide variety of exotic pelagic birds, migrating over the winter and summer months. The rugged coastline adds to the allure of this birdwatching adventure, making it a must-visit destination for nature lovers and bird watchers alike.
